Let us not forget our fellow Americans who are Veterans of our Military branches.
In honor of all American Veterans, the American Statesman on Blog Talk Radio is dedicated their Thursday show to discussing the lives of our heroes. They discussed how ALL of us can support them. All Americans have enjoyed the protection provided by our Veterans. Unfortunately, too many Americans have simply forgotten them as they return home from their military encounters. These encounters may have been in Korea, Vietnam, The Gulf War, or our Battles in Iraq, or Afghanistan, we must take more time to know them. We must take time to reflect on what America would be like if they were not there protecting us.
We must take time to appreciate and embrace them. Most Americans will never see a battlefield and cannot begin to imagine life in such a world. It is time all Americans make a sacrifice for those who have put everything on the line for us. We need to “walk a mile in their shoes” and learn more about the challenges they face them when they return home from the battlefield. Life is different after such an encounter. We must understand that our Troops may not come the same as they left us. We must be there for them.
The American Veteran is the ultimate example of Duty, Honor and Country. Happy Veterans Day to all Americans and especially to all American Veterans.
