The First Annual Truck Driver Social Media Convention is uniting, honoring, and giving a bona fide voice to the Professional CDL Driver. Those most concerned individuals, companies and organizations within trucking will meet with America’s Professional Truck Drivers to
address topics that most concern them: Government regulations, Truckers Rights, Driver Success Solutions, Trucking Career Solutions, Truck Driver Health, and the benefits of social media, sharing their message worldwide.

Tunica, MS (PRWEB) July 28, 2011 — October 15th 2011 in Tunica, MS at the Gold Strike Hotel, Allen & Donna Smith of will unite professional truck drivers as they host the First Annual Truck Driver Social Media Convention. This groundbreaking event is attracting drivers from Canada, Norway, and the
U.S. with more from Europe and Australia displaying their support of the event.
Professional drivers have recently felt the frustration of long hours, pay cuts, shortages of available safe parking, high fuel prices, increased regulations, cross border trucking, and anti-idling laws. Their gathering will be a symbol of unification and brotherhood as well as the opportunity to be informed and guided by trucking industry specialists and speakers in regards to how to create positive impact and obtain results through the power of social media.
Drivers are attending the trucker convention in order to network and meet those who they have been communicating with via social media. They have long awaited an event which would honor and pay tribute to professional drivers, those who continuously keep the nation moving.
Professional drivers have had for years a negative image portrayed upon them to the general population. The convention will bring more awareness and appreciation for professional drivers, as they are recognized and honored for their skill and sacrifices.
Those showing their support for professional drivers are sponsoring the truck convention: Dancing Skeletons Productions, Platinum Sponsor for the event. The Award winning video company will be taping the 16 hour event and will be creating a 2DVD set of highlights. The Gold sponsor for the event is Hodyon, the
manufacturer of the Dynasys APU, best in class APU that can be leased from the manufacturer though their own leasing program.
Silver Sponsors include; Pilot/Flying J, Challenge Magazine, AireDock,, and Safety First SleepSolutions.

OOIDA(Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association), Hotels4Trucker LLC, Trans Products
and Services, Lone Mountain Truck Leasing, TruckerToTrucker,The Truckers Forum, The Load Post, IdleAir and
XATAsoftware are the Bronze Sponsors.
Professional truck drivers in the past have lived a solitary lifestyle, spending weeks at a time alone, separated from friends and family. Since the introduction of social media, websites such as MySpace, FaceBook, and Twitter, drivers have been able to break the isolation and communication barrier by employing technology such
as smart phones and laptops, allowing them to communicate, network and now unite!
The truck driver convention is a day to unite, pay tribute, recognize, network, and discuss ideas and solutions for the issues affecting the professional driver and to “raise the standards of the trucking industry”
