Truck Driver DAC Report

We are still preparing for our report to submit to Congress concerning the practices of trucking companies reporting false information to the DAC reporting services.  There are certain procedures and guidelines to follow when submitting such requests.  As I am often asked many questions about the truck driver DAC report and who they are and any contact information, we have just launched a new site providing all the information one needs to know about the dac report.

Please add this site to your favorites for future reference.  If you are a truck driver experiencing difficulties with a false report on your DAC, we have also included a link which can help you locate an attorney with the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA).

We hope this site will make finding information about the DAC report for trucking more accessible.

what kind of kick backs are the companys getting from the goverment to reject applicants that ever had a dui in there lifetime

  2. Tommy G

I don’t believe they’re getting kickbacks. I believe they are simply keeping irresponsible people out of big trucks. Everyone knows how bad drinking and driving affects society as a whole. Many, many people are killed, and many also go to prison because of drinking and driving. Not getting what you want doesn’t implie that there’e a conspiracy of some sort. We take too much for granted in this country, and you’re very fortunate that you’re not in prison yourself, and yes it could happen to you too.

Do either Posters know what the DAC Report is? It has NOTHING to do with Kickbacks, Drunk Driving, or anything else like that.

It has EVERYTHING to do with Trucking Companies putting False information on a drivers DAC report.

You need to understand what a DAC REPORT is before you post comments about it.

IT is a record of employment that goes from one carrier to another when a driver applies for a job.

Anything the previous employer wants to say on the DAC report is said and then passed along as truth.
NOTE: Not all companies DO THIS…but we drivers know the ones that do!

Example: Driver abandoned vehicle ( when in fact they didn’t”
    Quit without notice
    False accidents

Click on the link in the post above and then you’ll understand what DAC really is.

I’m having trouble getting a trucking job that I would like to have, just to make an honest living, but I can’t get one: It’s not because I drink myself to the point of no return, It’s not because I’m a ex-con, and not because I’m a bad boy. The U.S.I.S. d.a.c. report is a tool I truly believe trucking companies take advantage of to get revenge on truck drivers to mess up people’s profile. Lately, I’ve been trying to apply for a truck driving job, and I deeply understand that I can’t even get one, because of what trucking companies lie on those D.A.C REPORTS. They are good at using late loads, refusing and rejecting loads, abandon equipment, and etc. so not only drivers having a hard time getting jobs with D.U.I.’S BUT trucking companies also have a pick on people with other issues. All I want to say is that I’m a hard honest worker and I am tired of being treated like a convict, and I can’t get a job due to those stupid lies on my D.A.C… Yeah! I wish that the government do away with d.a.c. because trucking companies are really taking advantage of it and messing up people’s earnings, and lively hoods. Why should a truck driver who wants to get their C.D.L. and pay for training suffer with D.A.C., are not cheap. So I think that at least we should be giving some slack. Now drivers with and other major issues should be treated with more observance. But petty issues with lies about late loads and other small claims should not be a reason to stop people’s lives.

  7. stacey the teamster

im a teamster and ive never had a problem with dac because companies like yellow, roadway, abf, usf holland, respect thier drivers granted they arent perfect but our terminal managers go out of thier way to help us out ive heard horror stories about other companies and what they do when i was in driving school we had 20 companies send recruiters trying to hire us i researched them they all had negative things reported on the internet my advice is find union job or organize your company its the best way to fight against underhanded trucking companies we dont have people quitting if we get laid off we cant wait to get back to work contact your teamster local

  8. Allen Smith

Unions do have their pros, but the largest violators of the DAC Report are the OTR companies and with 750,000 trucking companies in the U.S., unionizing them all will never happen.

  9. stacey the teamster

well you have to start somewhere with all the new labor laws and employee free choice act getting ready to pass were gearing up to start organizing weve already organized part of fedex like i said contact your teamster local and our national truckload division usf glen moore is hiring big time so is quality carriers in springfield mo.

If you haven’t already, you can file charges against him and have him convicted. The convictions will automatically show up on his background check by future employers.

Most companies count theft as an automatic denial for hire.
